Pat Miles for
Congress Campaign announced that it will report about $106,640 Cash on
Hand in
the first quarter of 2010 which covers the period of January 1 through
March 31, 2010. Miles raised $57,230 from 104 individual donors in the
less than two weeks between when he launched his campaign on Thursday,
March 18th and the end of the quarter on Wednesday, March 31. Miles led
all candidates running in Michigan's 3rd District in cash on hand and
number of donors as of the end of the first calendar quarter reporting
period.
The Miles campaign also reported that 99 of its 104 donors or 95.2% of
its total donors are from Michigan. Additionally, 29 of the 104
donations or 27.9% of the donations received were less than $100.
“I am proud that this campaign, which began in late March starting from
scratch, received support from more than 100 individual donors, many of
them smaller contributions, and that almost all of the donors live here
in Michigan,” said Miles, a first time candidate.
The Miles campaign, which is actively building a grassroots organization
in West Michigan, also announced that it signed up more than 100
volunteers in the first two weeks of the campaign. “I am honored and
thrilled that more than 100 people in Michigan's 3rd Congressional
District are willing to contribute their valuable time to help this
campaign win.”
Miles added, “These results show that people are angry and frustrated
that partisan politicians in Congress are not working together to get
our economy moving, to balance the budget and to address the serious
issues we face. People are signing up to volunteer and regular people
are making donations of whatever they can afford because they know that
if elected I will put West Michigan first and will work with
Republicans, Independents and Democrats to get things done.”
Pat Miles, 42, is a business attorney who has fought for consumers and
lived his entire life in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has provided more

Miles’ substantial Cash on Hand, volunteer sign ups and individual donor
support show that he will run a strong race and will have the resources
he needs to win. |
